Where intuition and analysis, and spirituality and science coexist

My work is not static, but intended to be used in performance and communal settings. Ritual pouring, communal gathering, and reflection are inherently part of my creation ethos.  Each piece is designed to encourage us to collectively think about our future, and to hold space for communal conversation–how do we look for meaning and what roles do we play in ensuring environmental and community sustainability.

The Hallowed Crown

Co-Artistic Director, Ceramicist, Musician, Writer, Lead Performer

The Hallowed Crown, a multimedia dance theatre performance created by Lowell Hutcheson, Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, Andrea Gluckman, and Paul Leary, examines the Crone archetype as a disruptive force–figures of wisdom, rage, and transformation who dismantles oppressive structures to make space for new ways of being. Throughout the show, the crones guide the dancers and audience through a journey of destruction and rebirth through rituals and trials.

In The Hallowed Crown, a large central vessel becomes a site for glimpsing the future, and a repository for unwanted ideologies.  Small cups are used for a ritual pouring, symbolizing a breaking of the ties that bind the dancers to former systems of oppression.
